Clay Investments is an active investor in manufactured housing communities and recreational vehicle communities. This is a core concentration, and one the firm continues to pursue.
Holdings are in North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin. As of 2026, the firm has 21 active investments across those five states.

Along Lake Norman, Clay Investments invests in older, under-utilized properties and works to position them for highest-and-best use.
The particular focus is the “downtown” areas of Lake Norman communities. Catawba Avenue in Cornelius is one example: a dilapidated house, vacant for years, renovated into a viable business location.

On the residential side, Clay Investments partners with local developers. The work ranges from one-off spec homes to townhomes and subdivisions.
