Cornelius, North Carolina
More than $1 billion in real estate transactions since 2008.
Clay Investments is a real estate investment company — active as investors, and as consultants for partners and clients. Affordable housing is a core of the practice. So is Lake Norman.
The firm
Since 2008, Clay Investments has been involved in real estate transactions totaling more than $1 billion in value. We put capital to work, and we advise partners and clients.
The deepest experience is in affordable housing: manufactured housing communities and recreational vehicle communities. Holdings are in North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin. As of 2026, that is 21 active investments across those five states.
From Cornelius, we also pursue real estate development and other opportunities in Charlotte’s fast-growing Lake Norman area — older commercial buildings that can be repositioned, and residential work with local developers.
